Filtering performance

ISO qualification, according to the WEARCHECK GmbH, Brandenburg, 28 September 1993, laboratory report

No 1101/13535/36

Water absorption, high filtering power of solid particles down to 0.1 m m; medium range: 1 m m.

TRABOLD filter corresponds to the prescriptions of the ISO/DIS 4406 NORM 11/8. standard. Achieving this qualification, the filter can operate at a cleaner output of the average commercial quality. The water take-up capacity of the grade10 filter cartridge under operational conditions is 60 - 100 g. The water absorption of larger filters varies in proportion with the volume.

Mode of filtering

High-power filtering with radial and axial mode; both flow directions combined; using the whole filter cartridge, the filter volume is minimized.

Inlet pressure

Minimum pressure = 0.5 bar, maximum pressure - filter cartridge is compressed only slightly even at 400 bar. Filter case can be loaded steadily up to 20 bar, and max. 30 bar pressure peaks are allowed.

Pressure reduction in engine

According to tests, the pressure in the engine does not decrease because the oil pump has adequate reserve capacity.

Changing the filter cartridge

In engines: every 10,000 - 30,000 miles, or equivalent operation time; in hydraulic or oil-heater systems: with a frequency depending on the equipment and contamination.

Time of filter cartridge change

5 - 10 minutes.
